The real me......

Once you start reading this you will start to know me .... the real me.....

I am the first born of my wonderful parents which I'm very proud of. The big sis to my siblings whom I love very much.

Growing up I am more close to my father's side as my childhood was spent in the house of my uncle who is like a secon father to me. There is a motto for our clan started by the sibings of my father "Ang kapatid ay kapatid, kahit ipagnakaw mo pa sya sa asawa nyo basta nangailangan ang kapatid kailangan tulungan sa anumang paraan" (Translation: "A sibling is a sibling no matter what, even if you need to steal money from your better half you must do the extent to help each other no matter what"). Indeed I saw this motto always lived by my Uncle and Aunts they are always there for each other no matter what. They may have their difference, their favorites, but when one sibling needs help they are always there to back each other up.

I have learn the value of hard work and earning money at a very young age, being the eldest I am the one who have experienced to help my parents in running our family businesses, first I started out selling "duster and collots" clothes which was sewn before by my mother and later on become a business that led to hiring other sewers to sew the clothes and sell in Pasig Market on a Saturday morning, Divisoria or in Baclaran, Paranaque on different days of the week. Later on this business was hand over to my aunt maternal side in order for my grand parents to have business of their own.

My paternal side of the family has a Family business which is an Agri business selling dressed chicken, poultry farming, duck raising, Liquefied petroleum gas distributor (PETRON GASUL), egg business (Duck eggs to be exact) and local fishing boats and yes all of those businesses we had experience and very proud because it made me who I am today.

My parents are both very young when they got married they didnt even finish their studies and yet all of us are sent to private schools and was given all the things we need. They provided me and my siblings all our necessity we need. We might not get the luxury things in life but they let us understood why and make us work hard for it if we really want to have those material things. Who do you know who can send all their kids to school (all private) but doesnt have a degree? only few people I know can do that, that is why we are very proud of our parents in so many ways they have sacrifice many things for us and we are very humbled.

As I am the eldest I saw the hardship and even experience what my parents have to endure just to make a living as early as 12:30 am my parents need to be in the public market to sell dressed chicken which my father prepare and my mom sells until 12:00 pm (noon time) I had the opportunity to experience that growing up and I am thankful. I leaned to be appreciative and thankful. I know the value of money. I dont know how my mom and dad was able to do all those things before and where does they get the energy and strenght. As soon as they reached home they will even do the things they need to do in our home e.g. cook, clean, wash clothes, iron etc. just thinking about it today I dont know how they manage to do all those things now. I maybe their daughter but I am not as tough and strong as them, I admire them so much.

My siblings are not as diffent to other familys we have our difference and quarrels but in the end we know we have eah others backs and love each other so dearly.

My family is my life, happiness and the meaning of me'..... all of me.

On your way up to success let's not forget who we have just to get there we owe everything to them. To my parents I salute you both, to my siblings cheers for all of us, and to my husband I hope we can be as good as my parents and your parents making them our guide to become good parents to our child and children to come.

June 16, 2011 (Lunar Eclipse)

And there it was,.. the Lunar eclipse they say was the longest ever..... the moon is at the most romantic many people say, but why is it that for me this lunar eclipse just made me think of the moon less romantic and somehow a little creepy for my side.

It may be magical for many people out there, but hey it's just my point of perspective right? The moon looked bloody red from what we can see and it's seldom seen in horror movies right?....... very well the moon was its splendor that night and it is really a monumental thing to experience in this life. Glad I am there to experience it in a clear sky.

Bloody moon I see.
I wonder what it meant to be
makes me look makes me think
staring at it without a blink

romantic to many
for me its quite scary
Bloody red and oh so round
many people left astound.

Glad had the opportuniy to see
and be amazed of what it might be
God really is amazing
all his creations are all captivating!

100 Days (Sad Story)

Peter and Tina are sitting in the park doing nothing, just gazing into the sky, while all their friends are having fun with their beloved half.

Tina: I'm so bored. Just wish I have a boyfriend now to spend time with.

Peter: I guess we're the only leftovers. We're the only person who isn't with a date now

(both sigh n silence for a while)

Tina: I think I have a good idea. Lets play a game

Peter: Eh? What game?

Tina: Eem..It's quite simple. You be my boyfriend for 100 days and I'll be your girlfriend for 100 days. what do you think?

Peter: Oookay..Anyway I don't have any plan for the next few months.

Tina: You sound like you aren't looking forward to it at all. Cheer up. Today will be our first day and our first date. Where should we go?

Peter: What about a movie? I heard that there is a really great movie in theater now.

Tina: Seems like I don't have any better idea than this. Lets move.

(went to watch their movies and sent each other home)

Day 2: Peter and Tina went to a concert together, and Peter bought Tina a key chain with a star.

Day 3: They went shopping together for a friend's birthday present.  Share an ice-cream together and hugged each other for the first time.

Day 4: Went to their friends Birthday and had fun.

Day 7: Peter drove Tina up onto a mountain and they watch the sunset together. When the night came and the moon glowed, they sat on the grass gazing at the stars together. A meteor passed by. Tina mumbled something.

Day 25: Spend time at a theme park and got onto roller coasters, and ate hotdogs and cotton candy. Peter and Tina got in the haunted house and Tina grabbed someone's hand instead of Peter's hand by accident. They laughed together for a while.

Day 67: They drove pass a circus and decided to get in to watch the show. The midget asked Tina to play a part as his assistant in the magic show. Went around to see other entertainments around after the show. Came to a fortune teller and she just said "Treasure every moment from now on" and a tear rolled down the fortune teller's cheek.

Day 84: Tina suggested that they go to the beach. The beach wasn't so crowded that day. They have their first kiss with each other just as the sun is setting.

Day 99: They decided to have a simple day and is deciding to have a walk around the city. They sit down onto a bench.

1:23 pm

Tina: I'm thirsty. Lets rest for a while first.

Peter: Wait here while I go buy some drinks. What would you like?

Tina: Eem...Apple juice will be just fine.

1:43 pm

Tina waiting for about 20 minutes and Peter haven't return. Then someone walked up to her.

Stranger: Is your name Tina?

Tina: Yes, and may I help you?

Stranger: Just now down there on the street a drunk driver has crashed into a guy. I think its your friend.

Tina ran over to the spot with the stranger and sees Peter lying on the floor with blood over his face and her apple juice still in his hands. The ambulance came and she went to the hospital with Peter. Tina sat outside the emergency room for five and a half hours. The doctor came out, and he sigh.

11:51 pm

Doctor: I'm sorry, but we did the best we could. He is still breathing now but God would take him away from us very soon. We found this letter inside his pocket.

The doctor hands over the letter to Tina and she goes into the room to see Peter. He look weak but peaceful. Tina read the letter and then she burst into tears. Here is what the letter said.

Tina,
our 100 days is almost over. I had fun with you during all these days. Although you may be greedy sometimes and less thoughtful, but these all brought happiness into my life. I have realize that you are a really cute girl and blamed myself for never taken the time to knowing that. I have nothing much to ask for, but I just wish that we can extend the day. I want to be your boyfriend forever and wish that you can be beside me all the time.

Tina, I love you.

11:58

Tina: (sobbing) Peter. Did you know what was the wish I made on the night there was a meteor. I asked God to let us last forever. We were suppose to last 100 days so Peter! You can't leave me! I LOVE YOU, but can you come back to me now? I love you Peter. I LOVE YOU.

As the clock struck twelve, Peter's heart stopped beating. It was 100 days.

My movie review...

Now I can say that all asians really do have a similarity, actually its universal when it comes to defining love. What I like about this movie is that it teaches us that love can find us anywhere and anytime. Cupid really is surprising.

Just like other people not specific to any nationality that would visit another countryy and they start the trip alone and end up returning back home together.

What's particularly interesting though, is how the filmmakers have managed to portray a picture of how the Korean pop culture has taken over the world by storm  and be romantic at the same time.

Love is all we need.

Ramona and Beezus (2010)

Ramona Quimby (Joey King) and her big Sister Beatrice, er, Beezus (Selena Gomez) is a fun movie to watch. it teaches you how life really is. there would be struggles, problems, ups and downs and at the end of it all everything will work out fine as long as we have each others backs and support of one another. Just have faith and love.  All in all, this film is one every family should have on hand, for repeated viewings, I predict, will never grow old.

Ramona and Beezus is a 2010 Fox-Walden film adaptation of the Ramona series of novels by Beverly Cleary. The film's title derives from Beezus and Ramona, the first of Cleary's Ramona books, though the plot is mostly based on the sequels, particularly Ramona Forever and Ramona's World.

Facing the Giants (2006)

Facing the Giants (2006)

My movie review....

Sometimes you have to watch these kinds of movie that makes you think and feel that God is really powerful and moving. It really teaches you that anything is possible for God.

A movie I recommend and make you remember that God is always there for us no matter what.

Nothing is impossible.

Facing the Giants is the story of Grant Taylor, a high school football coach with a mediocre record. After several poor seasons, the Shiloh Eagles are considering replacing him as head coach. This is not the only problem Taylor is facing; his car is breaking down, the players' fathers are trying to get him fired, and he discovers that he is the reason that his wife Brooke cannot become pregnant.

In order to find a solution to these problems, he prays to God for help. He creates a new coaching philosophy and decides to praise God after each game, no matter what the result. At the same time he guides and urges each one of his players to give the maximum effort, and motivates them to believe they can win under God's guidance. From that point on, he loses only one game but eventually goes on to win the state championship due to their 1st playoffs opponent being disqualified. His prayers for children are also answered when he and his wife have two children of their own.

A Little Thing Called Love (2010)

A Little Thing Called Love (2010)

Sing lek lek tee reak wa rak (original title)

My movie review...
This must be the first time I'm watching a foreign film dubbed in Filipino language. I didnt think I would like it but I did. Made me feel like a teenager once again. Many people probably will definitely agree if I say that we always wish that our first love will always be the last. Nam is talented and funny, but with the usual normal plain looks. She falls in love with the older Shone, one of the best-looking guys in her school. this movie just show how great is to find love :) and there is no boundaries. we must always believe that there is someone there for us.......

First Love (A Little Thing Called Love) (Thai: สิ่งเล็กเล็ก ที่เรียกว่า..รัก) (Sing leklek Tee reak wa... Rak), better known as Crazy Little Thing Called Love, is a 2010 Thai romantic comedy film and also a 2011 Asian sleeper hit film starring Mario Maurer and Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul who has a very striking resemblance to the young Kim Chui actress in the Philippines.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009)

My movie review....

I just saw this movie today, and glad I had this opportunity to watch it.

Base on a true story. One of the things that sets this movie apart from the other movies that involve animals is how they stuck to reality. Sometimes they show things through Hachi's eyes as opposed to human eyes, which helps you relate to him and understand how he felt and what he thought then, as well as emphasizes that Hachi is the main character of the movie.

This is not just a kids' movie. It is a must-see and definitely recomend it for everyone to see. didnt even believe that I can cry that much, a heartfelt movie that will surely move everyone even if your not a pet lover. definitely a must to watch.

Based on a true story from Japan, Hachiko Monogatari (literally The Tale of Hachiko) is a moving film about loyalty and the rare, invincible bonds that occasionally form almost instantaneously in the most unlikely places.

The real Hachiko died in 1935. His statue stands in the Shibuya train station in Japan.

My Sister's Keeper (2009)

My movie review......

This I would say would be one of my favorite movies, it let me hold on to the box of tissue and cried my heart out. I would be giving the writer and director 2 thumbs up! (I would have given more if I have a spare thumb :)) The actress who played the sick girl is really admirable she made me believe that it was almost as real as it can get. This just made me feel blessed to have a family and not just sisters but also a brother whom all love so much. I hope by sharing this many of you who will read this will also value life, parents, brothers, sisters and other people around you as well. God is so good and powerful that he touches our hearts with these kind of stories. Always be thankful.

"My Sister's Keeper", based on the bestselling novel by Jodi Picoult, is a heart wrenching tear jerker that will both stab and touch your heart. It may be one of the best movies of the year.

Nick Cassavetes's "My Sister's Keeper" is beautiful and moving in its simplicity as the story celebrates life, family, and power of love.

parang wlang magandang inaanunsyo

Kahit ganun man gusto kong magpasalamat

aking aalalahanin aking ibabaon
Pasalamat sa Diyos Ama sa Langit
ako ay laging ginagabayan at hindi winaglit

Romantic Story The Salty Coffee

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding. There were many guys chasing after her while he was so normal. Nobody paid any attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him. She was surprised but she accepted the offer out of politeness. They sat in a nice coffee shop and he was too nervous to say anything.  She felt uncomfortable and thought to herself, "Please, let me go home..." Suddenly he asked the waiter, "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him for his strange request! His face turned red but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously, "Why do you add salt to your coffee? "He replied, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea. I liked playing in the sea where I could feel the taste of the sea which is just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood and my hometown. I miss my hometown so much. I miss my parents who are still living there."

While saying that, tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That must have been his true feelings from the bottom of his heart. A man who can express his homesickness must be a man who loves home, cares about home and takes responsibility of his home... Then she also started to talk about her faraway hometown, her childhood and her family.

That was a really nice talk and also a beautiful beginning to their story. They continued to date. She found that he was actually a man who meets all her criteria of a good partner; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm and careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Luckily, his salty coffee brought them together! The story became like every other beautiful love story where the princess married the prince and they lived a happy life together... And every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away and left her a letter Her tears made the letter totally wet which said,

"My Dearest,
please forgive me, forgive my whole life's lie. This was the only lie I said to you - the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous that I actually wanted some sugar but I said salt. It was hard for me to change what I said so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that as I have promised not to lie to you about anything... Now I'm dying and I'm no longer afraid of anything so I wish to tell you the truth. I don't like the strange bad taste of salty coffee... But I have had salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never felt sorry for anything I had ever done for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness throughout my whole life. If I can live for the second time, I would still want to know you and be with you for my whole life even though I would have to drink the salty coffee again."

Someday, someone asked her, "What's the taste of salty coffee?" She replied, "It's sweet."

Happy Father's Day daddy

Daddy this is your day!
I want to greet you happy father's day
I want you to know how much I love you
No one can ever replace you

Thank you for loving us unconditionally
For giving us everything unselfishly
you are the person I looked up to
No one else comes close to you

thank you daddy for everything
for giving colors to my life, for giving meaning
Happy father's day again Dad!
even though I'm so far away that's the only thing that makes me feel           sad
