UAE 40th Day


The UAE 40th Day celebrations are being planned as a 40 day program, recognizing all aspects of the nation’s life and heritage. The National Day Committee, whose task is to prepare, co-ordinate and promote a national program of celebrations for the UAE’s 40th anniversary, have planned a series of exciting events, projects and programs stretching across all seven emirates. This program will be an all-encompassing commemoration, set to engage the nearly 5 million inhabitants of the UAE that aims to promote the national identity and salute the nation’s rich history, culture and achievements.

The committee’s official event line-up includes an elaborate series of concerts across the seven Emirates, the creation of a state of the art UAE Experience Pavilion to showcase the nation’s heritage and an elaborate illumination of Abu Dhabi’s streets, buildings and landmarks. Decorations will also be erected across the Emirates to promote national identity. Abu Dhabi Corniche will transform into an animated festival environment with a program of land, sea and aerial based events as well as entertainment activities and displays for the entire family. A Grand Parade and Official Ceremony will provide the grand finale of celebrations ceremonially marking the nations’ 40th anniversary as a federal nation
