I respect them if this make them happy which is far more important than pleasing a person.

Valeria Lukyanova

Age: 21
Nationality: Ukrainian

Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova is a living doll. With the possible use of cosmetic surgery, makeup and Photoshop, the 21-year-old has transformed herself into a real-life Barbie.

Valeria Lukyanova describes herself as "the most famous Russian woman on the Russian-language Internet." She has posted a multitude of online content, from photos to YouTube videos to outlandish quips on her personal website. Her YouTube channel, Amatue, has over 1.5 million video views.

Lukyanova has big, glassy eyes, long blonde hair, an ample bosom and a tiny carved waist. Her Facebook page features tens of photos of her astonishing Barbie-like body and face. In her YouTube videos, she reveals that she uses opaque lenses to achieve that wide-eyed look of a doll. She also shows off some interesting makeup styles that echo Barbie, like porcelain skin and glossy bow lips.

According to a Huffing Post article from 2011, if Barbie were an actual woman she’d have unrealistic proportions and would most likely be anorexic. Galia Slayen wrote:

“If Barbie were an actual women, she would be 5’9″ tall, have a 39″ bust, an 18″ waist, 33″ hips and a size 3 shoe. Barbie would have a BMI of 16.24 and fit the weight criteria for anorexia…. If Barbie was a real woman, she’d have to walk on all fours due to her proportions.”

Venus Palermo
Age: 15
Nationality: British
Doll name: Venus Angelic
Hair colour: Blonde

A lot of girls enjoy dressing up their dolls, but a 15-year-old London teenager gets her kicks dressing up like her dolls.

She's Venus Angelic and she is becoming the latest Internet cult figure thanks to her bizarre YouTube videos. Angelic teaches viewers how to make themselves look like a ball-jointed doll and offers other strange makeup tips.

"Some people were asking me, 'how do you do your makeup?' and I decided to put a tutorial on YouTube," Angelic told the cast of RightThisMinute, a daily syndicated TV show that focuses on the strangest clips hitting the Internet.

Angelic has been dressing up like her doll for two years and was inspired by a love of Japanese anime culture that started when she lived in Japan for a couple of years, according to RightThisMinute producer Betsy Gessel.

"She's not Japanese," Gessell told HuffPost Weird News. "But she spent some time there and it influenced her."

It not only influenced her look, but also her voice, which sounds like a babyish version of Yoko Ono. Angelic insists it's real.

"Yes, of course it's my real voice," Angelic told RightThisMinute. "I think [it sounds that way] because I speak five languages and all the accents mix together."

Gessell, who spoke with Angelic at length is more skeptical.

"She's not Asian. She's western," Gessell said. "Her mom had an almost German accent. I also think she really is a teenager, but, in some ways, she does seem wise beyond her years."
As far as Angelic's mom is concerned, she does approve of her daughter's dollish ways.
"She actually thinks it's cute to wear cute and frilly clothes," Angelic said. "I don't think that I will ever stop. I think I will grow in my style and just keep doing what I love."

As Angelic grows in her style, Gessell predicts so will her popularity.

"She has influenced a lot of people," Gessell said. "[Dressing like a doll] is something a lot of people think about and she's making it safe."

Dakota Rose
23 years old
San Francisco, California

Dakota Rose is a model from San Fransisco, USA. Her notoriety has been on the rise lately because she looks like a real life doll with big beautiful eyes, perfect skin and hair and cool Japanese style. Follow her on twitter @dakotakoti or visit her website at kotakoti.com.

I have been modeling for 4 years now.I don't believe that modeling should be dull, and that it should be bright and fun.I love colorful shoots and i model anything form clothes to toys.
I also have my own jewlery out now for sale on the side. modelling should be a fun exiting experience and not something that makes you're ego big.

Meet Dakota Ostrenga. You might know her by her by her online moniker, Dakota Rose. Or in Asia, she's Kotakoti.

In the last few months, she's made a name with her photos and YouTube vids. She's one of those Japan-inspired living dolls. Buzzfeed called her "The Real-Life Barbie".

Earlier this month, she made her debut on Japanese TV, which showed one of her cute YouTube vids. A Japanese talent agency even signed her, saying she's going to be a star in The Land of the Rising Sun.

Everything is breaking Dakota's way. No wonder there are apparently efforts to hide her past, which is anything but doll-like.

A series of videos are circulating on YouTube called "The Real Kotakoti" and seem to show Dakota and her sister calling each homophobic slurs. The videos are from a few years back, and they depict quite a different Dakota than the one who is currently on YouTube demonstrating Final Fantasy hairdos. She's not prim and proper. And she looks more like a rag doll than a porcelain one.

Dakota's sister, Kiki Kannibal, was featured in Rolling Stone last year. Kiki was an internet celebrity—who discovered just how scary and awful internet fame could be.
Like Kiki, Dakota was just a kid with a MySpace account. And in those days, both spent a lot of time online, shooting their mouths off—as evident by these surviving clips. They show Kiki and a very different Dakota. Not only her features look different (fueling online rumors), her demeanor is totally different.

There's lots of footage here; most of it is of Kiki. And, yes, this could be part of some sort of smear campaign. But according to YouTube user Eundunja, Dakota's mother Cathy is supposedly trying to have these clips taken down.

"They're trying extremely hard to attempt to suppress this information and keep the video from getting out because they know it's beginning to spread, and because people are beginning to realize what disgusting, vile people they are," Eundunja wrote.
