Trivia

Kris Aquino was supposed to play the role of the third wife, but preferred the role of the first wife. The producer initially wanted Dina Bonnevie to play the wicked role, but Lorna Tolentino - already in the cast - wanted it too. The producer selected Lorna after the actress vowed not to work in the project if the role was not given to her.
When Lorna Tolentino got the role of Belinda Que-Tan, the wicked wife, Dina Bonnevie was given the role of the good wife Lu-Shui. She refused. The role went to Zsa Zsa Padilla who won the best actress award in the Metro Manila Film Festival for her portrayal in this movie.
